Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearances were on television as Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on the ABC sitcom Roseanne. The family did not allow her to act until she was an adult in fear of the effects stress would have on their child. Perry confessed that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school However, she started acting as way to get acquainted with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry started her acting career in New York after graduation, performing in minor roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But homesickness made Perry come back to California to work as a stage actress. She performed on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Her father was also in the production. Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 at The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. Perry was a regular character on the ABC show, a political thriller Scandal with her dad. In the same year, she played a young model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) in which she played her mother as a young version. Despite her family link to this character, she received the role via an audition.
