Zoe-perry
Perry is the son and the son of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry, a director. Her first television roles were two times as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. Her parents did not allow her to start acting in front of her family until she reached an adulthood stage, because they feared the pressure it would bring. Perry admits that she was not happy in school However, she started acting as a means to meet new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, relocating from Boston to New York in search of acting roles on television. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness led her to California to pursue theater opportunities. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. In 2015, she appeared together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on the ABC film Scandal which starred her father. Also, she was cast on the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. Despite her family link to this character, she received the role via an audition.
