Zoe-perry

Perry is the child to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry, a director. Her first appearances were on the screen as Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC comedy Roseanne. However, her parents didn't want her to perform until she turned an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry admits that she was not happy in school, but started performing as way to get acquainted with new students while at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. After graduating Perry moved to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led her back to California where she found acting work. The show she performed in was Broadway on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. Her father was also in the production. Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 with The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry made an appearance in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. Perry was a regular character on the ABC show, a political thriller Scandal which starred her father. She was also cast in the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. Despite having a family connection to her character, she got the role via an audition.
