Born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June 28, 1986 Pickler had a troublesome childhood. Her mother left her when she was only two in order to get out of an abusive relationship. Her mother returned in 1995 to her life and took the full custody. The situation did not work out the way she had hoped. At the age of 12, the court returned Pickler to her grandparents - whom she grew up with. Pickler with the help of her parents and her older siblings, became too busy to become a mom. She stated that her time was limited, and she figured out how to take care of her family at a young age. Pickler played cheerleading in the middle and high school she attended. Pickler graduated in 2004 at North Stanly High School. Pickler has also been a beauty contestant. She was named Miss Stanly Country.
