The childhood of Pickler was not a smooth one. At the age of two the mother of her fled from an abusive relationship. Pickler's mother returned in 1995 into her life, and she took the full custody. But it didn't go well. At the age of 12, the court returned Pickler to her grandparents - who raised her to adulthood. Pickler could not be a parent to her kids in the absence of their parents. Pickler admitted she didn't have time to go to school and began learning how to be a homemaker in the early years. Pickler was on the middle and high school's cheerleading team.
