Hayley Orantia is an American actor, musician and acrobat. People are most familiar with the character as Erica Goldberg in the comedy television show 'The Goldbergs'. Her primary focus is as an actor. According to her, music has always been her first obsession. At the age of 12, music became serious enough for her to pursue a career in music. She began songwriting when she was 13, and she was just 14 when she recorded her debut album of covers songs. Since then, there's never a moment to rest. Orrantia was born in America, has Hispanic heritage. She's proud of the fact that she has Hispanic roots, although she was raised speaking English exclusively and has never lived in Mexico. She strives to keep it alive by studying Spanish as well as writing songs using the Spanish language. "Hasta Verte" which is a song with Spanish lyrics that she has recorded, can be a perfect example. Orrantia was picked to perform for The X Factor's first season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia was chosen out of an YouTube video and was awarded four "yes" votes from judges in the live audition stage held in Seattle, Washington. She originally auditioned solo, however, during "Hollywood week" she was placed together with three female singers into a trio for remaining auditions. Live shows were staged in the 5th week.
